After you import to Finfo Media, you will receive an email with feedback on the outcome. Ideally, you’ll receive a message stating Successful import. If something went wrong, you’ll receive an Error Report. Below are the most common errors and how to resolve them.
File Not Found
You specified a resource name but did not upload the resource to the Finfo portal or via FTP. This error can also occur if the name of the uploaded resource does not match the name provided in the import template.
Verify the actual resource name and the name specified in the import template. Then re-upload your resources and resubmit the import template.
Missing File Extension
The file name is invalid because all links and file names must end with a file extension.
Allowed file extensions
Images:jpg, jpeg, tiff, png, gif, WebP
Documents:pdf
Update the link or resource name with the correct file extension. Then re-upload your resources and resubmit the import template.
Unsupported File Type
You submitted a resource with a file type that is not allowed. For example, a link that ends with .url instead of a valid extension such as .pdf or .jpg.
Allowed file extensions
Images:jpg, jpeg, tiff, png, gif, WebP
Documents:pdf
Update the link or resource name so it ends with a valid file extension. Then re-upload your resources and resubmit the import template.
Duplicate File Extensions
Under the file name column, there are multiple periods (.) in the file name. Everything after a period is treated as a file extension, so only one period should appear before the extension.
Correct the file name in the import template so there is only one file extension. Also ensure the uploaded resource itself does not contain duplicate extensions. Then re-upload your resources and resubmit the import template.
Resource Import Failed
If you submitted links and receive Resource import failed, the links may not point directly to the actual resource. Sometimes they lead to a login page, a product page, or are broken.
Correct the link in the template so it points directly to the resource file, then resubmit the import template.
File Already Uploaded with a Different Type
If a resource type has been set previously, it cannot be changed via the import template, you’ll see The file is already uploaded with a different image/document type. For example, a resource previously imported as a Action image cannot be changed to an Environmental image in a subsequent import.
To change the resource type, do it manually by logging in to the Contribute interface, or contact info@finfo.se for assistance. If you want to keep the existing type, redo the import and specify the current type.
Product Text Is Too Short
Product texts must be at least 25 characters to be approved. This applies to all of the following fields:
Product Name – Web
Intro
Full Product Description
Bullet List / USP
Edit the text to include at least 25 characters, then resubmit the import template.
Product Text Is Too Long
Overlong product texts will not be approved.
Revise the text to meet the maximum character limits below, then resubmit the import template:
Product Name – Web: 100 characters
Intro: 250 characters
Full Description: 4,000 characters
Bullet List / USP: 1,000 characters
Product Text Contains a Disallowed Term
Certain terms are not permitted for legal reasons and will be blocked during import. Forest Stewardship Council, FSC, and PEFC are registered trademarks.
Remove the blocked terms from your product texts, then resubmit the import template.
External File Import Failed
An undefined error occurred during import. You will receive the generic message External file import failed.
Email the Error Report and your Import Template to info@finfo.se. We will assist you after an internal investigation.
File names and web links must end with a valid file extension.
File names must not contain spaces, special characters (except _), or the Swedish characters Å, Ä, Ö.
