Design files (CAD)

Architects, engineers and specifiers build models in which every component needs a geometry. If your product is available as a CAD file, it gets drawn in; if it isn't, another product may well be drawn in instead. By the time the model moves on to costing and ordering, your product is already in place. It's an early sales opportunity that happens long before procurement begins.

A CAD file also makes the design work easier for the recipient. Without one, dimensions have to be read off a data sheet or modelled by hand, which takes time and invites mistakes. With accurate geometry, the specifier can run clash detection and confirm there is room to install the product, reducing the risk of changes late in the project.
