Output channels

As an information provider, you always have the Finfo database as your default channel. This means your products become visible to the Swedish building materials trade without any additional add-ons. When you want to reach more markets or stakeholders, you can add additional channels. These typically require an agreement for API-based data transfer between the recipient and you as the information provider. The Finfo database is included in all Finfo subscriptions.

The Finfo database

The Finfo database is the hub for product information in the building materials industry in Sweden. It brings together article information, logistics data, images, documents, and feature data according to ETIM. It also includes information related to climate and sustainability.

Suppliers submit the material, Finfo quality-assures it, and then makes it available to recipients. The result is that Swedish building retailers, contractors, wholesalers, procurement systems, and digital platforms gain access to accurate and up-to-date product data, ready to be used in stores, in e-commerce, and in professional purchasing flows.

Validoo

Validoo is Sweden’s central platform for product information within grocery retail, pharmacies, and related industries. Support in Finfo is under development.

When it is activated, master data for consumer packaged goods, including logistics levels, images, and GS1-compliant labeling, can be transferred in a controlled way. For the supplier, this provides a reliable route into grocery retail, e-commerce, and pharmacies, where major chains such as ICA, Coop, and Axfood are among the recipients.

NOBB

NOBB is Norway’s central product database for building materials and hardware. Support in Finfo is under development.

When it is introduced, structured article information, logistics data, technical data, environmental properties, as well as images and documents can be distributed to the Norwegian building materials trade. The supplier then gains an efficient route to wholesalers, retail, contractors, and public buyers who require standardized and quality-assured product data.

Assessment organizations

Finfo can make relevant parts of the product information available to external assessment organizations. This applies, for example, to fields related to article identities, logistics information, and packaging. The purpose is to make it easier for suppliers to obtain assessments from organizations such as BASTA and Byggvarubedömningen, so that recipients in the building supply chain can make purchasing decisions faster and meet requirements for transparency and regulatory compliance.

Your own channels

The same quality-assured data can also be published back to the supplier’s own systems. Via the Finfo API, you can use master data, texts, media, and logistics levels on your website, in your e-commerce, and in your internal systems such as ERP and PIM or MDM. The result is a consistent product presentation across all channels, less manual handling, and a shorter path from update to publication.
