BK04 is a shared solution within the construction industry for monitoring sales statistics. The BK04 Industry Statistics function is linked to an information field that contains the statistical key enabling a unified follow-up and compilation of the industry’s collective sales statistics.
The field contains the product group that is most representative of each individual product. The product group is added to the supplier’s article information by Finfo when it passes quality control, before being distributed to customers. This ensures that all parties use the same statistical key for their products.
As the overall product group structure is continuously updated based on new needs, a synchronized update for all users is performed at each year-end for products affected by this field.
All users have the opportunity to influence the further development of the product group by submitting feedback through the case management system of Byggmaterialhandlarna (the Swedish Building Material Retailers Association).

The supplier can receive from Finfo the product groups that have been assigned to each of the supplier’s articles.

Responsible for reviewing and assessing product group classification.
Recipient
Each article includes in this information field a BK04 product group according to the latest version. The system must be able to read and interpret the product group names linked to the product group numbers included with each imported article. This enables the creation of sales statistics reports based on information tied to this field.
The field must not be connected to other logic in the customer’s system. It should only be used for sales statistics that are reported centrally. If the information in the field is to be used for any other purpose, or if major or minor adjustments to the content are needed, the information must first be copied or imported into another field where further processing or handling can take place.
