Information and description

There are a few selected units to use for the content of the primary package. For secondary and tertiary packages, there are no predefined selectable content units, the supplier specifies the unit they consider best describes the product’s packaging.

Units for content in the primary package

Below are the units to use for different product types. Always base the choice on how you, as the end customer, would like to receive information about the package content.

GRAM

Products sold by weight are stated in kilograms (KG). If the content is less than 1 kilogram, it is stated in grams (G).
Example: dry mortar.

KG

KILOGRAM

Products sold by weight are stated in kilograms (KG). If the content is less than 1 kilogram, it is stated in grams (G).
Example: dry mortar.

M2

SQUARE METER (KVADRATMETER)

Products sold as covering materials are stated in square meters (M2).
Example: sheet materials, insulation, and tiles.

L

LITER

Products with liquid content are stated in liters (L). If the content is less than 1 liter, it is stated in milliliters (ML).
Example: paint, silicone, and adhesive.

M

METER

Products sold by length are stated in meters (M). If the length is shorter than 1 meter, it is stated in millimeters (MM).
Example: rebar, timber, and cable.

ML

MILLILITER

Products with liquid content are stated in liters (L). If the content is less than 1 liter, it is stated in milliliters (ML).
Example: paint, silicone, and adhesive.

MM

MILLIMETER

Products sold by length are stated in meters (M). If the length is shorter than 1 meter, it is stated in millimeters (MM).
Example: rebar, timber, and cable.

PAR

PAIR
(PAR)

Products that cannot be separated are stated in pairs (PAR).
Example: left and right gloves or shoes.

SET

SET

A package containing several different items that are used individually is stated as a set (SET).
Example: broom set, socket wrench set, and paintbrush set.
Note: If the package only contains multiple identical items, it is not a set.

ST

PIECE
(STYCK)

Products intended to be used individually are stated per piece (ST).
Example: fittings, machines, trousers, and furnishings.
