Information and Description
Normal lead time is used to inform the trade approximately how long it takes from order placement to delivery. The actual lead time depends on several factors and is linked to contractual agreements.
For retailers, the normal lead time provides an indication of whether the delivery time is short or if it takes longer to receive the product. This gives insight into how much planning and forecasting time is needed before placing orders.
The information in this field is not considered legally binding but should be regarded as preliminary guidance.
The lead time is stated in the number of working days within which the article is normally delivered. If the normal lead time exceeds 99 days, the value 99 should be entered. This signals to retailers that the lead time is long and should be accounted for in their planning.
