Information and description
The BASTA system is an industry-wide, independent environmental assessment system for construction and civil engineering products. Its purpose is to phase out substances with hazardous chemical properties from building materials and promote sustainable material choices. The system is owned by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and includes a public database where environmentally assessed products that meet chemical content requirements can be found.
