The system is owned by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and includes a public database where environmentally assessed products can be searched.
If the article is registered in BASTA as ALFA, this must be indicated in the field. ALFA means that the product meets the BASTA system’s requirements for chemical content according to the current assessment level.
Please note that an article can only have one assessment in BASTA. If an article is registered as ALFA, it cannot at the same time be registered as BETA.
