Article Code

Definition

Article Code indicates yes or no to a predefined question about the item and shows the product’s status based on the current definition.

Explanation

The article code is used to clearly indicate whether a certain statement applies to the item or not. In Finfo One, this is presented as a formulated question where you answer yes or no. When importing files through the classic flow, the same information is referred to as an article code.

By using standardized yes/no values, a consistent and machine-readable structure is created, making the information easy to interpret in recipients’ systems. This enables filtering, selection, and automated handling based on the item’s characteristics or rule status.

Usage

The supplier specifies yes (the statement is true) or no (the statement is not true) for each item.

Finfo verifies that only valid values (yes or no) are provided, stores the information, and distributes it further.

Recipients read and interpret the article code in their systems and can use it to filter, search, and manage items in the database.
