Secondary Package Ordering Indicator

Field codes IN KNSEFBEIN | OUT WISEFBEIN | API secondaryPackageOrderingIndicator

Definition

This field specifies whether the item’s secondary packaging is orderable or not.

Explanation

Secondary packaging is one of the possible packaging levels for the item. In this field, you indicate whether it can be ordered as a separate unit.

If the secondary packaging is not orderable, one of the other packaging levels (primary or tertiary) must be orderable so that the item can still be purchased in some form.

The value “Not orderable” is used when the secondary packaging must not be ordered separately. If the field is left empty, the secondary packaging is interpreted as orderable.

Usage

The supplier specifies whether the secondary packaging is orderable or not.

Finfo verifies that another packaging level is orderable if the secondary packaging is marked as not orderable.

Recipients receive information about which packaging levels can be ordered.
