Field codes IN KNSLUEPDDA | OUT WISLUEPDDA | API epdValidUntil | Date format YYYYMMDD
Definition
This field specifies the expiry date for when the information in the item’s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is no longer valid.
Explanation
All Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) have a limited period of validity. The expiry date indicates when the information in the document ceases to be valid.
This date is important for the trade, as it makes it possible to ensure that accurate and up-to-date environmental information is shared with customers and other stakeholders. When the validity period expires, an updated EPD must be issued for the information to remain correct.
More information about Environmental Product Declarations is available from the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket).
Usage
The supplier specifies the expiry date if the item has an EPD.
Finfo verifies that the date is correctly provided and follows the correct format.
Recipients use the information to determine whether the EPD is valid and to know when an updated declaration may be required.
