Finfo's Article Number (Finfo number)

Field codes IN / | OUT WIARTS | API finfoArticleId | Max Length 9

Definition

Finfo’s Article Number is a unique sequential number assigned to an item when it is registered as new in the system.

Explanation

Finfo’s article number is used to uniquely identify an item in Finfo’s database. The number is unique and is never reused, even if an item is later archived or removed from the assortment.

This ensures traceability and stable identification over time, regardless of changes in, for example, the supplier’s own article number.

The Finfo number cannot be edited in Finfo One, as it is assigned by Finfo and is not a field managed by the supplier in the interface. The number is created centrally by Finfo and distributed further to recipients via the API.

Usage

The supplier cannot influence or change Finfo’s article number.

Finfo automatically creates and assigns the number when the item is registered.

Recipients may use Finfo’s article number as a search term and identifier in their systems.
