Field codes IN KNCE | OUT / | API ceMarked

Definition

This field indicates whether the product is CE marked in accordance with applicable EU legislation.

Explanation

The CE marking shows that the product complies with essential requirements related to safety, health and environmental protection under harmonised EU legislation. The marking is mandatory for certain product groups, such as construction products covered by the Construction Products Regulation, but may also apply under other sector-specific legislation.

If the product is CE marked, the supplier must be able to refer to the relevant legislation and, where applicable, provide documentation such as a Declaration of Performance (DoP) describing the product’s characteristics and compliance with applicable requirements.
