This field specifies the unit used for the content of the secondary packaging.
Explanation
Here you specify the unit that describes the content of the secondary packaging.
The content of the secondary and tertiary packaging can be described using the same unit as the content of the primary packaging (for example piece, metre, litre, kilogram, square metre or another valid standard unit). It can also be described as a number of primary packages and/or secondary packages. See the example images below.
Using the correct unit is important so that recipients can correctly interpret the content for ordering, inventory management and calculations. Only units according to the applicable standard may be used. More information is available in the section Instructions for Valid Units.
Usage
The supplier specifies the unit for the content of the secondary packaging in accordance with the standard for approved units.
Finfo verifies that only valid units are used and that the unit, together with the stated quantity, corresponds to the secondary packaging unit.
Recipients use the information to correctly interpret package content for ordering and logistics.
