The purchase indicator is used to provide information about a deviating purchase unit in cases where orders cannot be processed using the package’s GTIN.
Information and Description
The trade prefers to place orders directly using the package’s GTIN, but this is not yet possible for all order receivers. To facilitate handling during this transition period, a specific field has been introduced as a temporary solution.
