Base Price

Field codes IN KNPRIS | OUT WIPRIS | API basePrice | Max Length 10 | Decimals 2

Definition

Base Price indicates the supplier’s general list base price, excluding VAT.

Explanation

The base price is a central part of the pricing information and is used as the starting point for calculating the purchase price in recipients’ systems. It often forms the basis for the customer’s pricing logic and affects purchasing flows, price lists, and price management further down the supply chain.

If the item does not have a general base price, you must instead specify a Price Type. In cases where the Base Price is not provided, the Price Type becomes mandatory, as it describes how the pricing information should be interpreted and handled.

Prices are stated with two decimals, and a comma (,) is used as the decimal separator.

Usage

The supplier specifies the base price according to the price list, excluding VAT.

Finfo verifies that the value is correctly provided using the correct decimal format.

Recipients use the base price as the basis for further price calculation and management in their systems.
